Electronic Prescribing

You can now have your prescription sent electronically to a pharmacy of your choice. You need to check with them first that they are doing electronic prescribing and then either let them or someone here at the surgery know which pharmacy you want your prescription sending to. It doesn’t have to be a local pharmacy, it can be one near your work or where you do your shopping.

You can change your nominated pharmacy at any time or continue to have a paper prescription if you prefer.

Repeat prescriptions may be requested as follows:

By ticking the boxes on the counterfoil of your prescription or filling in a request slip at reception. Please either post the request into the mailbox outside the Medical Centre or the box on the reception desk.

Online, once you have registered at reception and brought in two forms of ID, preferably your passport and a utility bill.

If you would like us to post your prescription to you, please enclose a stamped, addressed envelope with your request.

Please allow two working days for your request to be processed and collect after 3.30pm.

Please use the counterfoil of your prescription. This can be posted through the surgery letter box or handed in at the surgery reception.

All prescriptions will be delivered to the Prestbury Pharmacy for dispensing unless the patient specifically requests otherwise.
